The Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Hybrid course focuses on principles of prehospital trauma care, not preferences. By focusing on the principles of good trauma care, PHTLS promotes critical thinking. The PHT Committee of the NAEMT believes that EMS practitioners make the best decisions on behalf of their patient when prepared with a sound foundation of key principles and evidence-based knowledge. This PHTLS Hybrid course is specifically designed to address the unique challenges encountered when caring for trauma outside of the hospital.
This PHTLS Hybrid course consists of two parts, an online part that you will complete prior to the course, and a skills day which will occur on the date and time you sign up for.
You must complete the online portion before the day of the skills portion.
